Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of the Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers may deliver meals:

• Individually
• As a family
• In pairs
• As a group
• Some churches/groups accept responsibility for one or several days each month.
• Drivers receive training from an experienced driver.
• Drivers report to UnityPoint Heath-Marshalltown at 11 a.m. to pick up meals for delivery. Delivery time is approximately one hour.
• Drivers provide contact with clients when delivering meals.
